Zipped it straight up the second it came out of the box. The gold faceplate lines up perfectly around the eye slot and the helmet zip pull is a great touch. The red is deep, not cheap-looking. Size L, nice and baggy.
I'm 5'5 and took a small. Sleeves past my hands, hem sitting low, exactly the look I wanted. I mostly wear it unzipped with the gold plates open at the collar. The washed red looks even better in daylight.
The gold helmet on the back covers most of the upper back and the color really pops. Fleece is thick, more like a light jacket than a hoodie. Got stopped twice at the mall by people asking where it's from.
The gold chest emblem and sleeve lettering look sharp and clean, even up close. The gold zip runs smooth all the way up to the nose. Cuffs and hem are ribbed and hold their shape. Only note: it runs big, so size down if you don't want it boxy.
Wore it fully zipped to a fan convention and lost count of how many people asked for a photo. Unzipped it later so I could eat. Comfortable all day, and the kangaroo pocket fits my phone and wallet.
Walked to work at about -2°C fully zipped with the hood up. Face and ears stayed warm. The eye slot fogs a little if you breathe hard, so I unzip to the chin once I'm inside. Arrived in about two weeks.

The balaclava is built into the collar. Pull the zip all the way up and it closes over your nose and mouth, leaving only the eye slot framed by the gold faceplate. Pull the red outer hood over the top for the full look. Unzip to the chest and the lower plates open into two flaps at the collar.
Heavyweight brushed fleece with a mineral-washed red finish, gold raglan sleeves, a kangaroo pocket, ribbed cuffs and hem, and a gold zip with a helmet-shaped pull. Gold detailing runs from the chest emblem down the sleeves and across the back.
